Today’s rich, expressive, bold and delicious red blend comes to us from Hensteeth Winery. Their 2009 Hensteeth Proprietary Red is a complex wine, with big, dark flavors and dark, lovely aromatics. At better than 50% off, we do not hesitate in offering it to you with our heartiest recommendation.

A lovely blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (80%), Cabernet Franc (14%) and Petit Verdot (6%) with each grape really shining through on the nose and on the palate. The wine gets a wonderful, earthy quality form the Petite Verdot, and a lovely, juicy brightness from the Franc.

This wine is drinking exceptionally well, but we are certain that it will continue to evolve beautifully as it ages even further.
