Summer was extremely hot and dry, but well-spaced rains prevented maturity blockage, with a late-running harvest after a mid-September rain favoring Cabernet Sauvignon. Wines are richly fruited and the tannins are elevated making this 2019 vintage structured and bold.

Château la Commanderie is deep purple in color with violet reflections. The greedy nose offers wild strawberries, blackberries and blackcurrants associated with fine notes of chocolate. The palate is fruity, juicy and offers a very nice balance with fine and polished tannins. Château la Commanderie is elegance personified. The wine is long, very balanced with remarkable fruitiness.
