2021 was another knockout year, with low yields but phenomenal intensely flavored, small-sized berries and a smooth and uneventful harvest season. The season started off with very little rain, leading to the 2nd year of drought conditions in Napa Valley. While concerning in the long term, the drought of 2021 resulted in a more natural load on the vines, requiring less pruning and dropping of fruit. The resulting grapes are packed full of flavor.

The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is 89% Cabernet Sauvignon and 11% Malbec giving it a deep garnet-purple color, with a rich dark fruit bouquet of black raspberry jam, cassis, hints of tobacco, sweet spice, rose petal and cedar. The palate is packed with rich tasting black and red fruits, framed by soft tannins finishing long with a herbal essence.
